Robins (Reception)

Welcome to Robins!

Miss Bennett  Mrs Stancombe
Teacher EYFS Practitioner

Miss Bennett will be teaching in Robins everyday.

Mrs Ashfield will be teaching in Robins on a Wednesday Afternoon.

Mrs Stancombe, our Learning Support Assistant, will be in Robins everyday.

We are very EXCITED about the introduction of TAPESTRY in our class. This is an online journal where we will be able to show you photos and observations of your child via an online portal.

We encourage you to upload home learning and ahievements onto Tapestry for us to celebrate in school.

Any questions, please speak to any of the adults in the unit and we will be happy to help.

Learning to Learn

This year we will continue to embed the Learning to Learn skills across the Foundation Stage Unit. The children will be learning skills to become collaborative learners and using this language in their free learning. We are also developing the skill to be proactive and to reflect on their own and others learning. Can you find our collaborative bees, proactive squirrels and reflective fish in the classroom?

Friendly Reminders:

  • As the weather changes please ensure that your child comes to school with appropriate clothing. Children have access to the outdoors so will need a named coat every day. If you have a pair of wellington boots your child can use at school please put these in a named bag which can be kept on their peg.
  • It is really important that the children stay hydrated throughout the day and we encourage all children to bring a bottle to school. These are kept in the classroom and can be accessed at any time. Bottles should only contain water.
  • We will always provide children with fruit to enjoy throughout the morning, but some children choose not to partake of these. If you think your child may say no to the snack we provide, we encourage you to send them to school with a healthy snack. If you are unsure whether certain snacks are appropriate, please speak to Miss Bennett or Mrs Stancombe.
