What do the PTFA do?
For those of you who don't know who the PTFA are or what they do, we are a registered charity run by a group of dedicated parents and staff who work together to arrange fundraising events for the children and their families at Bradley Barton. All funds raised go towards paying for things the children need or do that the school budget can't stretch too. In recent years funds have been provided to pay for:
*Our outdoor classroom building
*Transport to sporting events
*Bradley Barton's Brilliant Bus
*Providing every new child starting Bradley Barton Primary School with a book bag
*Seating, shelving and a rug for the library
*Lunchtime play equpiment
*Toys for the Nursery unit
*New Sensory Room and furnishing
In the last year we arranged cake stalls, football tournament, Easter hat competition, Easter egg competition, Summer Fayre, Fun Run at Bakers Park and a christmas craft market, refreshments at all christmas performances, summer and christmas raffles.
Our Recycling Schemes
We have a Bags 2 School service in which we ask you to collect old clothes and shoes which you no longer need, bag them up and bring them into school on collection days. We do have a small fabric recycling bin in the parent waiting area which is available for you to put your bags in if you cannot store them at home, but we do ask if this is only used if you cannot bring your bags in on a collection day Bags2 Schools weigh the bags and pay into the PTFA fund per kilo collected.
