(This activity is ideal for older children as it can be a bit fiddly, although you can make larger beads for younger children to manage. For young children, why not make some chunky beads by painting or gluing bright coloured paper to some old toilet roll tubes, then cutting it into 3 or 4 and have fun threading a giant bead necklace?)
This is a great way to use scraps of paper, old magazines and even junk mail leaflets!
You need very few materials. You will need:
Pencil
Ruler or other straight edge
Scissors
Paper (any scraps, the more colourful the better)
Glue
knitting needle, cocktail stick, or skewer
Glitter or glitter glue (optional)
String, wool or elastic
