Retrieve, Record, Review




  • Recording device (e.g. phone, ipad, camera, dictaphone, seesaw app)

To set up

  • Give a general topic or question for children to focus on
  • Have recording device ready


Step by Step

  1. Children retrieve as much information as possible on that topic, without script or referring to supporting materials
  2. Children play back, and compare it to their notes or retrieval answers to see where their strengths and gaps in understanding are.
