Whole Class Ensemble Tuition
At Bradley Barton, we believe that every child should have access to high quality music learning opportunities. In line with this ethos, we are currently striving to provide one "Whole Class Ensemble Tuition" (WCET) opportunity per year for every child in Key Stage 2.
A WCET project involves all children learning a musical instrument alongside each other. This weekly lesson is led by either a music specialist or an external peripatetic teacher. The children develop their expertise in playing one instrument (which is provided by school), through playing music games, learning skills and performing pieces of music together. Sometimes this will culminate in a performance to parents, such as last year's Y4/5 Violin WCET project, which was led by Tom Deam.
