In Devon there are dedicated professional teams you can contact. They will look in to your concerns and make sure that the person you are worried about is safe and well looked-after.

Safeguarding children

Private Fostering

If you think that a child may be living in a private fostering situation with people who aren’t their parents or immediate family contact our Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH) on 0345 155 1071 or email mashsecure@devon.gcsx.gov.uk and give as much information as you can.

Vulnerable adults

If you suspect a vulnerable adult is being abused you can make a Safeguarding Alert by phoning Care Direct on 0845 1551 007. A decision will be taken about what to do next.

Domestic violence

If you are living with domestic violence or abuse, or are worried that someone else is, you can contact the adva partnership for advice and guidance. You can also contact adva if you are a professional seeking advice or training on 01392 382233.
