Breakfast and After School Club

At Bradley Barton Primary School we offer a Breakfast club and an After School Club. The Club is located next door to the Outdoor classroom and is accessed through the rear car park. We aim to enhance the children's experiences in school in a positive, collaborative environment.

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club runs from 7:30 - 8:40 am. Upon arrival, for safety reasons, it is important that parents/carers sign their child(ren) in. During Breakfast Club, the children can enjoy a delicious breakfast of their choice: cereals, toast, fruit, milk and fruit juices. We aim to offer a healthy start to their day. After breakfast, the children can participate in a free play activity of their choice. They are then ready for the day ahead and make their way to the classrooms for an 8:40am start.

After School Club

After School Club hours are based around the needs of parents/carers. We provide care from - 3pm - 6pm. At the end of the school day for EYFS and KS1, the children are collected from their classrooms by a member of staff and are escorted to the After School Club room. KS2 children make their way over independently. Upon arrival, the children are signed in and go into their dedicated rooms, EYFS and KS1 have a room and KS2 have another. The children sit together in their rooms and have a snack(s) of their choice: sandwiches, toast, fruit, toasties and other varieties of snacks. After snack time, they participate in a range of activities with their peers. Children are then collected and signed out by their parents/carers at the end of their school day.

Staff

We are very fortunate that our members of staff in the clubs also work alongside the children in the school day. This provides the children with familiar faces and positive relationships. Members of staff working in the clubs are: Mr Folland (Breakfast and Afterschool Club Manager), Mrs Vicary (Meal time assistant), Mrs Walker (Meal times assistant), Mrs Wills (Mealtime assistant), Mrs Clark (KS1 HLTA) and Miss McLean (KS1 LSA).

Bookings

If you would like to book your child(ren) into either of the clubs, we kindly ask that you provide us with 24hours notice. However, we understand that this is not always possible and if you require an emergency booking we will try our best to cater for your needs. If at any time, you need to cancel a booking again we kindly ask that you provide us with 24hours notice. Unfortunately, if this is not provided we will have to charge. Bookings are made online through School Gateway.

Breakfast Club - £4.50 per session per child starting at 7:30 

                       - £3.50 per session per child starting at 8:00

After School Club - £9 for each session  per child

After School Club - (for more than 1 child per family) - £8 per child

The school reserves the right to amend these charges termly.

Terms and Conditions

•          I have read and understood the Bradley Barton fees and payments as above
•          I understand and agree to pay for the above sessions at the time of booking 
•          I understand that I can book ad hoc Breakfast and After School Club sessions 
•          If booking a last minute session over the phone I agree for school office staff to complete a           booking form on my behalf and that I shall pay for the session within 24hours 
•          I agree to the prices as set out above for Breakfast Club
•          I agree to the prices as set out above for After School Club
•          I understand that cancellations made at least 24 hours before the day of attendance will be           credited to use at another session.  Same day cancellations due to illness only will be                  credited.  Credit is not given for un-notified absences. 
•          I have read and understood the behaviour statement 
•         I understand that this booking form will form an official contract once the sessions have                  been confirmed.

The After School Club facility is only available to children in Reception to Year 6.

Payment

Both breakfast and after school club sessions must be booked and paid for in advance. This requirement is essential. Sessions must be booked through the school gateway system 48 hours in advance and paid at the time of booking. In order to cancel a session, parents/carers must contact the school office with 24 hours’ notice. If a child is absent from school due to illness, their session will be cancelled.

You are able to use tax-free childcare vouchers to pay for sessions. Please release the amount of money required and email: nweatherdon@bradleybarton.com stating the amount sent, how much you would like allocated to each club and your child's reference number, at least a week in advance of the booking system opening.

School Gateway

Following feedback from parents we have changed the way breakfast and after school club sessions are booked. All sessions are to be booked via the School Gateway online system/App.

You are responsible for making any cancellations through contacting the school office 24 hours beforehand. If we get less than 24 hours’ notice the parent/carer will still be charged for the session. If your child is booked into breakfast and/or afterschool and is absent from school due to illness the session will be cancelled.

How do I make a booking?

1. Log into www.schoolgateway.com or download the app to your tablet/smartphone.
2. Once you have registered, log in to the School Gateway and book the sessions needed.       

     3. If the session you require is showing full please call the office, we will endeavour to accommodate wherever possible, but this cannot be guaranteed. To avoid disappointment please book your sessions as far in advance as you can. We operate a waiting list for full sessions,. Please contact the office if you would like to be put on the waiting list for a full session

     4. If you currently use child care vouchers to make your breakfast/after school club payments, we will enter these payments manually once the funds have reached our account. Please email vouchers to office@bradleybarton.com Please allow time for your account to update.
